Refund & Return Policy

Applies to orders placed at ljusstudios.com.

1. Overview

LJUS STUDIOS wants you to be fully satisfied with your purchase. This policy explains how returns, refunds, and warranty claims work for orders placed at ljusstudios.com.

2. 30-Day Return Window

You have 30 days from the date of delivery to return an eligible item for a refund. This is in addition to, and more generous than, your statutory 14-day right of withdrawal under Swedish and EU consumer law (see Section 6).

3. Eligibility

  • The item must be unused and unopened, in its original packaging, with all accessories and documentation included.
  • For hygiene reasons, LED masks, panels, and other skin-contact devices cannot be returned once the packaging has been opened or the device has been used, unless the item is defective, damaged, or incorrect.
  • Items that are defective, damaged in transit, or not what you ordered are always eligible for return or exchange, regardless of use.

4. How to Return an Item

To start a return, contact us at info@ljusstudios.com with your order number and reason for return. We'll confirm eligibility and provide return instructions.

5. Return Shipping Costs

  • Change-of-mind returns: the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.
  • Defective, damaged, or incorrect items: LJUS STUDIOS covers return shipping costs.

6. Your Statutory Right of Withdrawal

Under the Swedish Distance and Off-Premises Contracts Act (distansavtalslagen), implementing the EU Consumer Rights Directive, you have a statutory right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving your order, without giving any reason. Our 30-day return policy above extends this period. Under EU law, the right of withdrawal does not apply to sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons once unsealed after delivery — this applies to our skin-contact devices as described in Section 3.

7. Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will process your refund to your original payment method within 14 days. We'll notify you by email once your refund has been issued.

8. Warranty (Light Panels)

LJUS light panels (P-300 Core, P-600 Advanced, P-900 Pro, P-1200 Ultra, and Spectrum Panel) carry a 1-year manufacturer warranty from the date of delivery, covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. At our discretion, we will repair or replace a defective panel free of charge. The customer is responsible for shipping the item to us for a warranty claim; we cover return shipping of the repaired or replacement unit. This warranty does not currently extend to the LJUS Quad Wave Mask (Arctic / Onyx).

9. Statutory Right to Complain About Defects

Separately from the warranty above, you have a statutory right under the Swedish Consumer Sales Act (konsumentköplagen) to complain about defects that existed at the time of delivery, for up to three years, regardless of any manufacturer warranty period.

10. Non-Returnable Situations

We cannot accept returns for items that have been used, damaged through misuse, or returned without their original packaging, except where required by law.
